The Irwin Mitchell Mentoring Club supports grassroots rugby by developing a community of mentors to help 35,000 young people navigate life’s ups and downs. The programme gives teenagers from different backgrounds and with different skillsets the opportunity to develop both on and off the field.

“I can’t imagine anything better” says Daniel Birr when asked about the chance to lead the England team out for their Calcutta cup clash with Scotland earlier this year. Together with our charity partner Maggie’s, we were delighted to help make a dream come true for Daniel and his family. They’ve been supported by the cancer charity since his mum Kirstie sadly died in 2020.
