ACAS Early Conciliation

Where your organisation is facing the threat of an Employment Tribunal claim, we can advise you at this early stage of ways of minimising the risk to the organisation and, if you want, try and settle the matter in a commercially beneficial way for the organisation.

We can provide cost certainty advice on guiding you through the process of ACAS Early Conciliation with the use of our bank of hours pricing option.

Merit assessments

We can carry out a fixed fee written merits assessment on a threatened or existing Employment Tribunal claim for as little as £950 + VAT. Identifying the strength/risks associated with any claim at an early stage is key, not least as it can then help set the strategy for defence of the claim or potential settlement.

For those in the education sector, a merits assessment is particularly useful when considering the justification of any settlement figure and working within the boundaries of spending public money.

Advocacy

It might be that you’ve been dealing with, and defending, an Employment Tribunal claim internally but would like to instruct us to represent your organisation at a hearing. We have a team of experienced solicitors who can carry out the advocacy on existing claims for a fixed fee so as to ensure cost certainty for your organisation.

Full Employment Tribunal or Employment Appeal Tribunal representation

From start to finish we can act for your organisation in defending Employment Tribunal (and Employment Appeal Tribunal) claims and ensure, from the early stages, that you are fully aware of the merits to the claim and that there is a tactical plan for defending it. We also have experience handling claims in the Court of Appeal and are well-equipped to support you in managing such matters when they arise.

We have different pricing options available (such as fixed fees, pay as you go and Bank of Hours (bought up front at a reduced hourly rate)) and can also deal with claims that are insurance funded.

We are panel solicitors for a number of the biggest Legal Expenses Insurance providers and also act for a number of education clients who benefit from the use of RPA insurance.
