Dan takes part in the Going the Extra Mile Challenge
Our client, Dan, took part in our charity partner, The Golf Trust’s 2025 ‘Going the Extra Mile Challenge’. This six-day epic golf event raised money to buy three new paragolfers.
These all-terrain wheelchairs allow people with disability to stand up to play golf. And, through a referral to The Golf Trust, Dan’s been able to play golf with his family again after serious injury.
Dan said, “It’s great to be able to take part in something that helps others in a similar situation to me.
Golf has always meant a lot to me, it’s great to get involved and work with Irwin Mitchell again.”
Beyond Amputation: From adversity to empowerment
Our Manchester conference brought together our legal specialists, medical professionals, rehabilitation experts, and individuals with lived experience to explore the journey from adversity to empowerment after amputation.
The day concluded with an unforgettable keynote from Richard Davies, a Royal Air Force veteran whose journey from injury to Invictus Games champion reminded us of the strength of the human spirit. His words, “Let the good days overrule the bad.” echoed long after the applause ended.
