James Ellington: Getting back on track after injury
“I didn’t really have any fear. Knowing I was alive, that was cool. I could move, I wasn’t paralysed, so I could move forward.”
Professional athlete, James Ellington, knew it was going to take something special to come back after a road traffic collision abroad in 2017 caused him career changing injuries. From a young age he taught himself to “just get on with stuff” and this mindset drove him back to the start line.
Asbestos removed from 258 public buildings in FY 22/23
Asbestos fibres pose a risk to those exposed of developing mesothelioma and other lung diseases. Yet the deadly material is present in many schools and public buildings across the country.
Our research identified that 4,533 public buildings in 20 of the UK’s highest populated council areas still contained asbestos. One year on, 258 of those have had asbestos removed. Our workplace illness lawyers cautiously welcomed this development and renewed calls for the Government to do more to keep people safe.
New personal injury partner signals exciting growth ambitions in Scotland

Our client, and former police Chief Superintendent, Clive Chalk, sustained serious injuries in a road crash in 2021. With support from rehabilitation, therapies, and our expert solicitors, he’s back on his bike and looking to the future.
