Guest editor – Laura Mcilduff

I’m delighted to guest edit this edition of our Imagine magazine, which features our latest Imagine ambassador, my client Shauna.

We’re passionate about helping our clients achieve their full potential following a life-changing event such as serious injury or illness. We tell their inspirational stories, while sharing useful tips and legal information to help if you, or someone you care for, finds themselves in a similar situation.

Shauna’s story proves that anything is possible if you have the right team around you. A car crash left her with a life-changing spinal cord injury, which means she’ll never walk unaided again.

Shauna is one of the most determined clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She will not be defined by her injuries and doesn't let anything stop her being the best mum to her children, partner to Luke and self-employed businesswoman.

Sadly, having a family can be difficult for many of our clients. Lindsey Dawson planned to have children with her partner, but she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She shares her surrogacy journey in our podcast on page 6. Sarah McDonald spoke to us about her experience of cervical cancer and the impact it had on her family in our interview on page 10.

Find out how our clients got stuck into a wheelchair basketball match thanks to our partnership with British Wheelchair Basketball, learn more about Willow Groutage, the four-year-old horse-riding champion with Erb's Palsy, and check you’re up to speed with the Highway Code changes two years on.

We’ll help you to imagine what’s possible, so nothing feels impossible.

Lindsey’s journey to start a family after cervical cancer.

Jay from British Wheelchair Basketball teaches our clients more about the sport.
