Damian Hodkinson
Partner
Damian is the supervising partner of the Building Consultancy team and also leads the COP team in Manchester.
Damian has extensive experience in COP work having worked in this practice area since 2005. He’s also a director of the Irwin Mitchell Trust Corporation.

Charlotte Waite
Partner
Charlotte co-supervises the Building Consultancy team and leads the COP team in Birmingham. She joined us in 2010 having previously worked as a specialist private client solicitor.
Charlotte’s highly experienced in all forms of Property and Affairs applications, specialising in private client and damages management and assisting professional and lay deputies and trustees on many varied and complex high value cases. Charlotte’s also a director of the Irwin Mitchell Trust Corporation.

Lee Haigh
Building Surveyor
Lee is an in-house building surveyor and works nationally across the CoP department.
He’s an MCIOB Chartered Construction Manager, C Build. E MCABE Chartered Building Engineer and MACQP Professional Member of the Association of Construction Quality Professionals.
Lee has extensive experience working as a planning engineer and bricklayer as well as adapting properties for people with disabilities. He specialises in building surveying, construction management, property management and project management.

Jonathan Williams
Building Surveyor
Jonathan is an in-house building surveyor, mainly covering the southern CoP department, but works nationally when needed.
He’s an MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor, C Build. E MCABE Chartered Building Engineer and a Class 3G Registered Building Inspector.
Jonathan has wide and varied experience in all aspects of construction including contract administration, project management, building consultancy, building regulation compliance and plans assessment.

Lavinia Afshin
Team Coordinator/Paralegal
Lavinia’s a senior PA to the Head of CoP and Team Coordinator and Paralegal in the Building Consultancy team. She’s the first point of contact for all new enquiries and provides direct supervisory support to the team.
Some of Lavinia’s responsibilities include carrying out and advising on due diligence for all contractors, consultants, and third-party construction professionals involved on projects, checking over instruction letters before they are issued, reviewing/confirming staged valuation payments, drafting new precedent documents and auditing internal files.
