Academy Trusts & Schools: Insurance and RPA
When acting for clients in the schools sector, we’re often asked if we can support with litigation under the Department for Education RPA (Risk Protection Arrangement) and the answer is yes.
Our team has the experience and expertise to advise and support you in any Employment Tribunal litigation/claim under various insurance arrangements including:
- Commercial Insurance – we are panel solicitors for a number of the largest commercial insurers.
- RPA Cover – we are routinely and frequently instructed by clients to defend ET claims via the RPA.
- Privately Paying – where a client doesn’t benefit from one of the above insurance policies, we are able to provide competitive prices for ET work.
We cover:
- Defending claims arising from incidents caused by a failure of safeguarding duties
- Advising on claims arising from alleged failure to educate or prevent discrimination or harassment
- Defending claims involving allegations of discrimination and whistleblowing
- Defending Employment Tribunal claims and dealing with employment related claims in the EAT and the Court of Appeal relating to (for example), unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, discrimination, breach of contract, constructive dismissal, etc.
